Good Neighbors for Growth Campaign

Neighborhood Pets is expanding!  In order to increase our capacity and respond to the growing needs of those we serve– we’re doubling our storefront and creating expanded clinic and wellness services.  We’re in the midst of a $500,000  campaign to complete our building transformation and expand our facility operations by creating our Wellness Center. We have already received more than half of our goal, but we still some work to do in order for our dream to become a reality!
Why expand? The demand for our equitable pet care services are in greater demand than ever before. With this growth, we will be able to:
• Separate lobby and exam rooms
• Increased capacity
• Expanded hours
• Additional wellness services
In order to meet our fundraising goal, we need your support! Please consider sponsoring or making a donation to the Good Neighbors for Growth Campaign.

Cleveland neighborhoods have some of the highest poverty levels in the nation. Far too many of our neighbors face isolation, joblessness, poor health outcomes, hunger, and other challenges that have only grown worse in the wake of the pandemic.

Clevelanders come to Neighborhood Pets to access our free pet food pantry and our low- and no-cost pet services. But they leave with so much more, from information about available social services to the dignity that comes from knowing you can care for those you love, who are counting on you.

We service more than 4,000 pet owning households across Cleveland. But our growing waiting list, and the long line outside our door, demonstrates that there is a much greater need than we can currently meet.

By giving to this community campaign to expand the capacity of Neighborhood Pets, you will help us help more people and their pets.

With generous support from neighbors around our community, we will:
  • Double the size of our neighborhood resource center located in the heart of Slavic Village. Growing our space from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet means more room to serve more clients every day.
  • Create new clinic facilities, including two private clinic rooms and a lab area. This will allow us to provide testing and other services we can’t offer now, which means better care for clients, and also self-sustaining earned income.
  • Extend the hours we are open. With the resources to keep our resource center open longer, we can increase the availability of wellness appointments and walk-in wellness visits.
