Our Team

"Our passion for our work, you can't beat it. We believe in it with all our heart."

Dr. Liz Wieczorek, DVM

Co-Medical Director

Picture
Dr. Elizabeth Wieczorek was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio (Slavic Village). At a young age, Elizabeth's mother saw her exhibiting a passion for animals and concern for their well-being. This started her off early in the profession: shadowing and volunteering for shelters and animal hospitals.

Before completing her undergraduate studies, Elizabeth earned her Registered Veterinary Technician degree/certificate at Cuyahoga Community College, hoping to pursue her DVM. In 2007, she moved to Columbus to complete her undergraduate studies while working full time. In 2012, Elizabeth was accepted into The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2016 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State.

After veterinary school, she commuted between Cleveland and Columbus. In Columbus, she was a facility veterinarian for a private cardiovascular research laboratory. She worked with world-renowned veterinary and human cardiologists and specialists! On the weekends up in Cleveland, she worked as a family veterinarian at a Maple Heights hospital–a place she previously worked as an RVT.

She currently works at a small practice in North Olmsted, where they focus on quality care at a lower cost. She wanted to give back to the community once before settling into a job, leading her to Neighborhood Pets. She believes in giving back to the community that supported and raised her.

Besides her effervescent personality, Elizabeth brings her interest in animal behavior, internal medicine, and dermatology. Elizabeth shares her new home in Streetsboro, Ohio with two cats (Rossette and Eve). When not at work, she enjoys playing, reading, traveling, rediscovering Cleveland, and rooting on her beloved Cleveland sports teams (and of course–The Ohio State!)
