VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED!
Are you passionate about helping people and their pets? Neighborhood Pets Outreach & Resource Center is always looking for volunteers!
Our biggest need for volunteers is Tuesday through Saturday, typically between the hours of 10am and 6pm. Occasionally we need help early in the morning, or late in the evening. Shifts run 2-5 hours, depending on assignment. To help us meet needs, volunteers must work two shifts per month.
Some of the tasks we need help with include: greeting clients, maintaining a safe distance between pets, bagging pet food and cat litter, cleaning/tidying-up, restocking, distributing fliers to the neighborhood, driving clients and their pets to appointments, distributing pet food, membership sign-up, appointment scheduling and reminder calls, and completing forms. We also need volunteers for events, and we especially need volunteers who are registered veterinary technicians for our wellness clinics.
Based on your skills, interests, and experience, we'll find a role that fits you and your availability.
All volunteers must be friendly, non-judgmental, flexible; able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment; have great attention to detail; be able to follow direction and stay positive; be good communicators; and have an understanding of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Basic pet knowledge is a plus.
